´╗┐Bro. Don says,
Time is MARCHing on. Daylight Saving Time will begin in
a few days and the people that will benefit the most is the ones
that have daytime jobs. This month will also be the beginning
of the spring season, where the things that have been dormant
will spring forth to new life. Our prayer should be that we will
celebrate the New Life that we received when we were Born
Again by faith & trust in Jesus Christ. Every day with Jesus
can be sweeter that the day before, if our attitude &
appreciation is what is should be. Search me, oh Lord!
Solomon declared that there is a time for everything,
Ecclesiastes 3:1. We should encourage each other to be sure
and take care of the important things of Life. The important
things in life are; Salvation, (make sure you are Saved),
follow the Spirit, (quench not the Spirit), a knowledge of
God’s Word, (study to show thyself approved unto God),
& a proper relationship to others, (love one another).
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 and the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself.
                                                                    In His Love,
                                                                    Bro. Don Layman

MISSION MOMENTS
Women On Mission met February 10 at 6 PM with
13 ladies and 1 guest present. Director, Jo Ann Manz,
opened the meeting with prayer and the ladies sang
their theme song, “I Have Decided To Follow Jesus”,
and recited the Watchword (1 Cor. 15:58). The theme
for the meeting was, “For The Love of Christ” and Jo
Ann presented a short devotional on that subject. The
missionary spotlight for the evening was on William
and Nancy Potter’s work in Southeast Asia,
specifically Cambodia. Prayers for the Potter’s and
their work and for missionaries everywhere were
offered and food was blessed.  Refreshments were
served and the group called into business session.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and
approved and the Treasurer’s report was approved as
read by Pat Ferrell. More bags for new nursing home
residents were discussed and it was decided to write
letters to other churches in the area inviting them to
help with filling the Easter baskets for Foster children
this year. The number of children continues to grow.
The Annie Armstrong Easter offering Week of Prayer
Begins March 1 - 8. Materials listing the missionaries
to pray for are still available on tables throughout the
church or in pews. We will be presenting videos about
these missionaries each Sunday until we have met all
seven of these dedicated servants of God. The offering
goal for Annie Armstrong is $3,000.00. Giving will
continue through March and April. Please be much in
prayer for this goal. This goal is all about funding our
North American missionaries in the spread of the
Gospel. Our next Women On Mission meeting will be
held in the fellowship hall on March 9 at 6:00 PM and
the theme will be, “It’s All About The Gospel”.
Ladies, Please Come!
                                                        God Bless You All,
                                                  Jo Ann and Hope
